After placing a rope ladder flat on the ground, baseball coaches can begin training young players using several “running ladder” exercises. The simplest exercise involves running the length of the ladder while placing one foot in each hole on a given side. Other exercises (in increasing order of difficulty) include using two feet per hole, alternating sides per step, and alternating sides while using the side opposite each foot.
